“Zamisli život u ritmu muzike za ples…”
Sretno Dijete / The Happy Child (2003) is a story of New Wave rock genre predominant in the ex-Yugoslavia during the socialist 70’s and 80’s. After the screening we will continue the party in our cafe with karaoke!
Through Zagreb, Ljubljana, Vienna, Belgrade, Budapest, Paris, Utrecht and New York, the author is in pursuit of the heroes of his youth, trying to tell to his own self the story about the expansion of punk-rock and the fall of socialism. With plenty of music and shots from the times of the new wave, The Happy Child is a little monument to the generation that was growing up with a strong belief that rock’n’roll is more important than life.
This screening is part of our Kriterion Zomeravond (Kriterion summer evening) Ex-Yugo Karaoke. Normally we screen two films under one theme, however this will include one screening and an Ex-Yugo Karaoke Party afterwards instead!
