In Ulrich Seidl’s new film, we see Richie Bravo, who was once a successful pop star but now leads a debauched existence in the Italian seaside town of Rimini.
In a permanent state of stupor, he gives concerts to pensioners in seedy hotels, has sex with fans for a fee, and also manages his gambling addiction in between shows. When one day his daughter steps back into his life with a demand for money, his extraordinary lifestyle comes to an abrupt end.
