“Black is…” is a film program inspired by the film “Black is… Black ain’t”. Just like the film, we want to highlight the different themes within the BIPOC community. The program exists of multiple shorts and one feature length film that covers topics within the community such as family, friends and sexuality. One part of the program is the film Girlhood, directed by Céline Sciamma. 

A girl with few real prospects joins a gang, reinventing herself and gaining a sense of self confidence in the process. However, she soon finds that this new life does not necessarily make her any happier.
